Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is used to help relieve pain through a range of techniques including; massage, joint mobilisation, stretching and joint manipulation. The aim is to improve range of movement through the joint or muscle, alleviate pain and restore function.
Dry Needling
Dry needling is a therapeutic technique for stimulating myofascial trigger points within a muscle. It involves the insertion of thin needles into the trigger points or other areas of muscle and connective tissue. It can be used to relieve muscle tension, improve blood flow, reduce inflammation, alleviate pain and restore mobility to a joint.
Cupping therapy
Cupping therapy is a form of alternative medicine where special cups are placed on your skin for a few minutes to create suction. The idea is to draw blood to or away from parts of your body. It can be used for pain and inflammation, relaxation and well-being, and as a type of deep-tissue massage.
Rehabilitation
Rehabilitation post-injury will include a structured timeline with key goals to be reached and a clear exercise program to ensure you get the most out of your time. A range of manual therapy techniques may also be used to help with pain relief, to reduce inflammation and encourage range of movement at the joint.
